Architecture as Acupuncture

This design focuses on an efficient multi-programming scenario of a parking lot and a library.

The challenge was to create a parking garage that strays from the traditional aesthetic, while incorporating different programs to create a complete and functional design.

This design includes:

  • a 2-level parking structure (basement and first floor),

  • a full library with areas for children, young adults and the elderly,

  • a supermarket, boutiques, café and restaurant,

  • playground for children,

  • exercise track,

  • gardens for the residents as well as visitors (first floor and second floor).

This project is the second of two (2) where we begin experimenting with the concept of multi-programming.
